Today, We are glad to have Dr. Chan who is a Doctor of Philosophy focusing on Youth mental health to introduce her researches on the method of reduce stresses and improving our mental health. Dr. Chan finished her studies in Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. Dr Chan did her research on the Relaxation Effect of Nature Films and color Light on Healthy People and Hospital Patients in China. Dr Chan also have a Stress Reduction for Healthcare Professionals Certificate awarded by Breathworks, Manchester, UK. Dr. Chan also owns a Certificate of teaching Mindfulness at schools. For today’s session, we practiced
1) Breath-counting meditation for 1 min.
2) Pulse - reading meditation for 1 min.
3) Finger breathing for 1 min.
4) Two types of Mindfulness drawing for countable breathes.
5) Acupressure point for immediate effect to calm the heart and stomach which lead to calm the mind or reduce stress or sleeping problems that is caused by the mind.
Dr. Chan also showed examples on massaging this Acupoint also reduce the symptoms of traveling sickness.
